Twin Lakes, Colorado
Here’s a jobsite that will take your breath away.
In Twin Lakes, Colorado, the second largest natural glacial lake in the world sits at the feet of the Rocky Mountains. Derek Shandonay of the aptly named Mountain Man Painting got this view as part of a residential roof repaint.
Shandonay cleaned and painted this New Zealand style roof, using products from the Sherwin-Williams store an hour away in Frisco.
“One of many challenges working in a remote mountain town is that everything is so far away,” Shandonay says. “If you’re off by one gallon that’s two hours later to get the product.”
Even with the additional challenges, Shandonay says it was worth it for the aesthetics.
“The view is absolutely incredible,” he says. “God’s design never gets old to look at.”
