American Painting Contractor

$5k contest from Purdy

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have every brush you ever wanted?

As part of its 100-year celebration, Purdy is giving away a $5,000 grand prize to one lucky pro painter.

To qualify for the contest, you’ll need to tell your story. Starting this month, painting contractors can go to Purdy.com/Contest to share how they started using Purdy tools. You’ll also want to include a photo of you using your favorite one.

The five grand prize includes a curated collection of Purdy’s tools, including brushes, roller covers, frames, extension poles, and prep tools.

This is the latest in a suite of celebratory events and contests to celebrate Purdy’s 100th anniversary. The company got its start in Portland, Oregon in 1925 when S. Desmond Purdy created his first handcrafted brush.

“Reaching this milestone wouldn’t be possible without the ones who trust our brand to elevate their craft,” said Amy Kovach, Senior Brand Manager, Purdy. “The Pro Story Contest is our way of saying thank you and paying it forward.”

The written portion of the contest has a 300-word limit. The contest ends at midnight on September 15.
