Brandon previously built and successfully sold a service business, giving him firsthand operator experience. He brings an extensive background in investment banking and private equity. Outside of work, Brandon spends time with his wife and two young sons.

Daniel Honan, CPA is the founder of Profitable Painter CPA, a firm that works exclusively with painting contractors. Over the last 10+ years, Daniel has helped 500+ painting business owners—from startups to $20MM companies—understand their numbers, increase profit, and uncover tens of thousands of dollars in tax and operational savings. A former painting business owner himself, Daniel built his firm to help contractors stop guessing and start using their numbers to make better decisions. Daniel Diaz has over 12 years in the painting industry. Denny Jahnz is a professional woodworker and finisher with over 30 years of experience in the industry. From building and finishing custom cabinetry and millwork to Refinishing, Refacing and restoration. He has spent many years as a mentor to many in the industry and now as a member of the SurfPrep family he is using that experience to help businesses large and small to be more efficient and productive.

After building his own successful painting company, Danny Kerr created Breakthrough Academy, a business coaching and system implementation company specifically for contractors in the construction, trades, and home services industries. Danny is one of North America’s top contracting thought leaders and a well-loved industry speaker.

Dave Scaturro is the owner of Alpine Painting and a seasoned leader with extensive hands-on experience managing teams, performance issues, and high-stakes workplace conversations. Drawing from real-world leadership challenges in the field and the office, Dave brings a practical, relatable perspective on applying emotional intelligence to difficult conversations.

Gaby Santiago is a sales representative and in-house designer with No Drip Painting, a full-service residential and commercial painting company based in Ohio. Jack West is a National Account Executive in the Association Risk Management Services department for Federated Insurance. Jack is responsible for overseeing Federated’s national affinity relationships as well as working to secure new association partnerships. Jack is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, he started his career with Federated in 1997. He has held the positions of Marketing Representative, ARMS Account Executive, District Marketing Manager, ARMS Field Manager, and ARMS National Account Executive. Jack’s experience and knowledge of the industry have provided him with numerous opportunities to present on insurance and risk management topics across the country. Jack and his wife, Reagan, live in Shakopee, MN with their daughter and two sons.

Dr. Jeff Cornwall has spent more than 50 years as a serial entrepreneur and educator of entrepreneurs. Upon his retirement from Belmont University in 2022, he was named Professor Emeritus. Since his retirement, he has become involved in the painting industry through his coaching of several business owners in the industry and through his work with the PCA.  Jeff is an advisor to both the Board of Directors of the PCA and its Executive Director. He also is currently helping to rebuild the PCA’s educational offerings to its membership.

Jim McBrayer is the founder and CEO of McBrayer & Associates Inc.  Since 2009. They have been consulting, training and coaching Commercial Paint Contractors to get more of what they want from their businesses ultimately making their businesses more valuable. Jim started his paint sales career in 1987 with PPG.  He advanced to Sales Director of PPG Architectural Finishes before leaving the company in 2009 to start his Sales Training Company.  His first customer was PPG.  Since then, he has trained thousands of people in the commercial paint contracting segment. Jim and Greg Mikszan, friends for decades, have now partnered to solve a problem facing commercial paint contracting owners: how to exit and get maximum value for their company.

John MacFarland is the Founder and President of MacFarland Painting, Inc., a highly regarded residential and commercial painting company serving the Greater Metro Detroit area. Under his leadership, the company completes thousands of projects annually without the use of subcontractors and employs nearly 100 team members. Josh Abramson is the founder and President of ALLBRiGHT Painting, a professional painting company he started in 1987 in the San Fernando Valley. Peter Suciu is the founder and owner of European American Decorative Painting. He began learning the art of painting in Romania in 1975 and later brought his skills to the United States, where he built his company on a foundation of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Over the years, Peter has specialized in professional interior and exterior painting, faux finishes, and is known for his precision and craftsmanship in wallpaper installation.
