Diamond Vogel struck a deal this month to sell its company-owned retail stores.
Spectrum Paint was the buyer, acquiring eight stores in central Iowa as well as three other locations. Spectrum says it plans to continue operations and retain employees, so you’ll still be able to purchase Diamond Vogel from your favorite locations.
“In today’s evolving retail landscape, success demands continuous innovation and focus,” said Jeff Powell, CEO of Diamond Vogel. “We’re pleased to partner with Spectrum Paint, a company known for delivering exceptional customer experiences.”
Diamond Vogel will now serve its customers through a new service center model. That means upgrading 12 existing locations to support additional services like color matching and order fulfillment.
Diamond Vogel is a family-owned paint and coatings manufacturer headquartered in Orange City, Iowa. Founded in 1926, the company has grown from a small regional business into a major player in architectural, industrial, agricultural, and traffic coatings across North America.
“Our strength lies in paint manufacturing and we recognized the need to reinvest in our core capabilities rather than retail operations,” Powell said. “This strategic move allows us to return to our roots and reinvest in what we do best—making exceptional coatings.”
