I trust you’ve heard the news – the 2025 PCA EXPO will be in Colorado Springs, Colo.! As a long-time resident of this majestic city, please allow me to convince you to block off Feb. 3-7 on your calendar.

Of course, EXPO is well worth attending, regardless of location. With the education sessions, networking, and tradeshow, it’s easily the best opportunity of the year to improve your business. But if you’re still on the fence, let me explain why Colorado Springs is a unique experience you cannot miss.

Mountains! Many people say this town is one of the two most beautiful in America (San Diego is the other). Why? Because mountains! The city is snug against them. And if you think you know Colorado because you’ve been to Denver, think again – yes, Denver’s nice, but it’s 20 miles from the mountains, has 2.5 million people, and a ton of haze. Colorado Springs sits at the mountain’s base. Skies are clear. Views are crisp.

Willy Wonka of the West. You’ve never been to a place like Broadmoor Resort. If Willy Wonka built his factory in the mountains, it would look like this. Expansive grounds. Awe-inspiring views. Swanky style. If you bring your spouse and kids, they’ll be perfectly happy never leaving the resort.

Adventure. So many side-trips to add to your trip:

• Skiing – Truly world-class skiing is a gorgeous 3-hour drive away: Breckenridge, Crested Butte, Vail, Beaver Creek.
• Overnight Trips – Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, and the Stanley Hotel. Glenwood Springs Hot Springs. Great Sand Dunes National Park. Aspen, Boulder. (And don’t forget big-city Denver!)
• Same-Day in Colorado Springs – Visit Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, U.S. Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center and Museum.

And if you’re worried about Colorado weather in February…don’t be. The fact is, Colorado Springs doesn’t have many snow days. But it does have 300 days of sunshine, so a 35- or 40-degree day here is usually perfectly pleasant.

Bottom line, you’ll love your time in the Springs!
