Back to office for Sherwin-Williams

This week Sherwin-Williams sent an email to employees telling them that the time had come to return to the offices full time.

The memo written by CEO Heidi Petz announced a full return to office starting Jan. 1 of next year. All U.S. and Canada-based office employees are advise that they will have to return to in-person work five days a week. Ultimately the company plans to roll out the in-office mandate globally.

Sherwin-Williams office workers had been on a hybrid schedule since the Covid-19 pandemic five years ago. But the CEO memo made clear that now is the time to return to normalcy.

“This is about moving ahead, driving stronger engagement, better collaboration, accelerating innovation, and doing things that only Sherwin-Williams can do,” CEO Petz wrote in the memo.

Sherwin-Williams is located in Northeast Ohio, and has been building a swank new global head quarters in the heart of Cleveland.

The new building will include a 36-story office tower, a two story pavilion, and a multi-level parking garage. It’s expected to open in late 2025 or early 2026 after the contractor had issues with the fireproofing material application.
