Building Dreams

Who doesn’t love LEGO? The little plastic bricks have been a staple of childhoods for generations. So how awesome would it be to help open a new LEGO store?

That was the dream job for the crew at Shaver Painting & Decorating. The bid invite came from an out-of-town General Contractor. They needed a commercial painting contractor to come in and paint the soon-to-open LEGO store at an outlet mall called Nebraska Crossings in Gretna, just outside of Omaha.

“Our community is excited to have LEGO come to town and we have been capitalizing on it from a marketing perspective,” said owner Brian Struble.

The main work was a tenant finish on the floor, and painting throughout. But the crew did get a moment to relive their childhoods in a very cool way.

“The new store team was tasked with making some of the LEGO displays,” Struble said. “We were excited to be apart of the project that helped create new jobs and fun for kids and their families.”

This is how you build community: brick by brick.
