One of the best things about the painting industry is its willingness to give back. Time and again, painting contractors and manufacturers step up to donate their time, talent, and products to help those in need.

Pittsburgh Paints has launched a new community initiative, called “Colors for Courage,” that will support local communities through volunteer projects and charitable donations.

The program’s first project kicked off Tuesday in the company’s hometown, where more than 40 employees volunteered to transform spaces at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh’s Pediatric Specialty Hospital. Pittsburgh Paints also donated $10,000 to help support the hospital’s most immediate needs.

“Our responsibility goes far beyond the paint we provide and the surfaces we color,” said Brian Carson, CEO of Pittsburgh Paints Co. (whom we previously interviewed on the Paint Radio podcast). “The Colors for Courage program is an opportunity for us to stand alongside families at a time when they need it most.”
